Meet Chris.

COuncil Chris Roberts is a member of the Shoreline City Council. He was elected by his colleagues to serve as mayor in 2016 and again in 2024.
Active Chris serves as a member of the National League of Cities Executive Board. He was a founding member of the NLC Local Indigenous Leaders. Chris also is a member of the board of the Sound Cities Association, where he serves as chair of the Public Issues Committee. Chris serves on the Legislative Committee and Federal Legislative Committee for the Association of Washington Cities. He is also a member of the Washington State Tribal Opioid and Fentanyl Task Force.
LIFE Chris earned his PhD in political science from the University of Washington in 2012. He teaches classes at North Seattle College and Centralia College. He previously worked for two sessions as an aide in the Oregon Legislature after graduating from Willamette. He has also been an active member of the 32nd District Democrats. In his spare time, Chris is a soccer coach and referee and active runner.
HOme Chris, his wife Heather, and son live in the Ballinger Neighborhood in Shoreline. Chris is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
